Andy Moor's musical fate began in Edinburgh, Scotland, with Dog Faced Hermans and later with The Ex and Kletka Red. His musical evolution now combines post-punk energy with traditional Klezmer, Greek, and Russian songs. A collaborator with many musicians from diverse backgrounds, Moor is a master of the duet. Damon Locks is a visionary artist from Chicago who seamlessly blends his talents as a visual artist, educator, vocalist, musician, and DJ. He leads Chicago’s Black Monument Ensemble and is a founding member of the band The Eternals.His contributions to the experimental and improvisational music scenes have been essential, and his commitment to civic engagement and social justice is foundational to his work. Andy Moor and Damon Locks have been longtime admirers, and this event celebrates their first collaboration in person. Opening for this historic night is Markus Lake, a Montréal-based musician and composer who explores themes of attention, obscurity, visibility, and repetition through his constantly expanding palette of digital instruments and samples. Lake's unique sound and idiosyncratic approach to music make him an exciting addition to this stellar lineup.
