Adriana Camacho is a double bassist, documentarian and improviser, and an active promoter of free improvisation and free jazz on the Mexican and international scenes. Stefan Christoff is a social organizer, musician and presenter based in Tiohtià:ke, also known as Montreal. He has been involved in numerous efforts to establish links between popular activism and the creative arts. Ari Swan is a violinist, composer and music educator who attempts to create spaces that prioritize BIPOC and Queer voices, and explores how art can provoke social awareness and healing. This concert is the Montreal launch of Adriana and Stefan's duo album, Años y Minutos, released by Boston's Moon Villain Records. Opening the show, Eugénie Jobin (Ambroise) moves freely and joyfully between the realms of art song, folk, rock, soft experimental music and jazz. For their next album, Eugénie, on vocals and piano, has set six poems by Marie Uguay to music, creating their very first song cycle - la première caresse goûte toujours la neige - accompanied by Frédérique Roy on accordion and vocals, and Gabriel Drolet on double bass.
