Eugénie Jobin (Ambroise) is a Tio'tià:ke/Montréal-based composer, musician, producer and teacher. Their music moves freely and happily between the realms of art song, folk, rock, soft experimental music and jazz. As a composer, Eugénie has worked extensively with the poetry of various Québécois writers, setting their words to music. Ambroise’s first full-length release, À la tonalité préférable du ciel (2018, Wild Silence), was dedicated to the poetry of Paul-Marie Lapointe, while their second, Bienvenue (2021, self-released) featured the beautiful words of poet Geneviève Desrosiers. For their upcoming album, Eugénie has set to music six poems by Marie Uguay, creating their first-ever song cycle, la première caresse goûte toujours la neige.
