"13 Lunar Meditations: Summoning the Witches" is a womxn-centric project that highlights poetry written and chosen by more than 20 women and girls from around the globe. Montreal-based, Jerusalem-born composer Ayelet Rose Gottlieb shares the stage with vocal-jazz legend Jay Clayton. A choir of improvising vocalists conducted by Vancouver's DB Boyko will join the two powerful vocalists, with Turkish violinist Eylem Basaldi, and Montréal based musicians Bernard Falais on guitar, Stéphane Diamantakiou on contrabass and Ivan Bamford on drums. Jay Clayton opens the evening with an always-riveting solo set.
