With a night of music that calls to something ancient and eternal deep in your genes, we are celebrating the newest album launch from Syngja. Syngja is an experimental psychedelic pop project led by Tyr Jami, featuring her ethereal vocals, haunting cello, ancestral Icelandic samples, electronic production, and synchronized visuals. Drawing inspiration from her Icelandic heritage, the music explores themes of love, death, transformation, and natural cycles through the lens of Icelandic mythology. Syngja's performances incorporate footage of Icelandic landscapes and textures, creating a unique audio-visual experience. Elyze Venne-Deshaies is a talented multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, improviser, and music teacher specializing in woodwind instruments, piano, synthesizer, effect pedals, and vocals. She has played in over thirty albums with various groups and artists and is the co-founder of the LUNES event series and founder of La Loba Productions. Her solo album, "Les grandes solitudes des femmes sauvages," was a finalist for GAMIQ in the experimental album category, and her upcoming project, "Déplacer d'l'air for saxophone ensemble and electronics," explores women's rage and healing through three acts of music.
