RITUAL PURIFICATION
Projections:
Canada Park
منتزه كندا
By Palestinian filmmaker Razan AlSalah
“I walk on snow to fall onto the desert. I find myself on unceded indigenous territory in so called Canada, an exile unable to return to Palestine. I trespass the colonial border as a digital spectre floating through Ayalon-Canada Park, transplanted over three Palestinian villages razed by the Israeli occupation in 1967.”
Anarchist Mountains (Balkan Circuits)
by Francesca Tallone
"I had this little collection of footage of smoke and steam billowing into the air and another little collection of ripples of water and the more I listened to 'Balkan Circuits' the layers of vibrations and drone and rhythms just started to feel like the smoke moving and the water rippling and the forms in the images and the sounds came together really seamlessly."
A Day in Palestine
by Mary Ellen Davis, Will Eizlini, José Garcia-Lozano
“A collection of scenes of everyday life in the occupied Palestinian territories are presented with a dream-like feeling reminiscent of home-movies of the 1960s. But instead of a day at the beach or in the backyard, Palestinian daily life consists of: an olive tree, a wall, a bulldozer, and soldiers harassing grandmothers. Film locations include Jayyus, Abu Dis, Beit Duqqu.”
