Montreal-based musician Erika Angell (voice/electronics) joined by Vancouver-based musicians Róisín Adams (Wurlitzer) of Hildegard's Ghost, and legendary cellist Peggy Lee explore how emotions, memories, and pain are stored in our physical bodies through their project "Beatings are in the body." The project takes inspiration from Canadian poet Meaghan McAneeley's work. Toronto-based improviser Karen Ng is a Canadian improvisational musician, teacher and event organizer based in Toronto, Ontario. Best known as a saxophonist, she is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed internationally with acts including Andy Shauf, Do Make Say Think and L CON.
