Radwan Ghazi Moumneh
Radwan Ghazi Moumneh is a Lebanese-Canadian artist, record producer, and musician based in Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal. A pivotal figure in experimental and contemporary Arabic music, he is renowned for his innovative approach to composition, performance, and cultural expression.
In 2006, Moumneh co-founded the legendary Hotel2Tango studio, where he has produced, engineered, and recorded over 200 albums, contributing to the sonic identities of numerous artists across diverse genres. During the early 2010s, he launched Jerusalem In My Heart, a multimedia music project that merges electronics, electro-acoustic buzuk treatments, and Arabic modal singing. The project has toured globally and released four critically acclaimed albums, establishing itself as a vital voice in contemporary music. Beyond Jerusalem In My Heart, Moumneh has been involved in a range of collaborative recordings on various labels, including projects on Asadun Alay Records, the imprint he co-founded. His work consistently reimagines Arabic musical traditions through a contemporary lens, blending innovation with cultural authenticity.
Moumneh’s creative reach extends beyond music production. He has appeared as an actor, performance artist, and musician in numerous dance and theatre productions in Montréal. He also composes regularly for film and dance, and has created soundtracks for films, dance pieces, and theatre plays, as well as music for public installations. Currently, he is developing his debut dance performance, slated to premiere in 2026.
A distinctive voice in Arabic contemporary music and culture, Moumneh has built a body of work that challenges conventional boundaries while honoring his heritage.
