IndigiBabes Burlesque
IndigiBabes Burlesque has taken Toronto by storm!!! The IndigiBabes are a Toronto-based burlesque collective created by Indigenous artists, activists and aunties. These Babes are all about reclamation, celebration and empowerment not only for themselves but also for the larger communities. Challenging dominant cultural narratives and stereotypes, IndigiBabes are rewriting these stories by creating safer spaces that celebrate Indigenous sexuality, sensuality, gender expression and storytelling through the art of Burlesque. The IndigiBabes have graced stages throughout Ontario, Nogojiwanong Indigenous Fringe Festival, Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival and Sarina Pride just to name a few!!! With their bi-monthly shows at Glad Day Bookshop have created quite a fan base of supporters, fans and others! Get ready to witness Indigenous brilliance.
