Geneviève Gauthier
Based in Montreal, Geneviève Gauthier is a saxophonist who is particularly passionate about free improvisation and sound art. She has carried out an action-research project on developing listening strategies in the context of musical creation, strongly inspired by Pierre Schaeffer and Murray Schafer Very active in the jazz and free jazz scenes, she plays with several ensembles and production companies, as well as with numerous artists as a freelance musician. Since January 2019, she has been honing her skills in New York City, USA, under the tutelage of renowned saxophonist David Murray.
