Concordia Theatre Department, Performance Creation program
The Concordia Theatre Department's Specialization in Performance Creation supports emerging artists who seek interdisciplinary knowledge and performance training. With a rare focus on collective work and collaboration, the program emphasizes the crafts of directing, playwriting, and dramaturgy, and offers courses in such topics as oral history, Indigenous storytelling, puppetry and object performance, and gender and sexuality, post-colonial, and queer performance studies. Students are trained to envision and create socially-engaged, collective, and interdisciplinary performance projects.
