Overview : As part of a series of three free events held in the basement of Sala Rosa, artists are free to install whatever they wish to reimagine the space - specific installations, projects , screen prints, and who knows what else. These art events are underground takeovers that coincide with upstairs exhibit hours, Monday through Wednesday, so people can pop in and out as they please. The guest artists this year are:

Jean Couteau will present Bells & Whistles, a three-day occupation, performance and installation in the basement of Sala Rosa, Sotterenea . At the center of the project is an ice cream cart converted into an exhibition space and a pirate radio station. The installation tells the story of the distribution of bells, whistles and popsicles across Montreal while questioning the foundations of our exchange systems.
