Chicago-based HIDE is not just an industrial band, but a multimedia, multisensory collaboration between visual artist Heather Gabel and percussionist Seth Sher. Rage and fear play a central role for the duo and in particular vocalist Gabel, whose decision to venture into the DIY music scene was sparked by a fear of the unknown - in contrast, HIDE’s gnashing rhythms and pulsating lyrics are meant to shock any and all oppressors.
