Chicago-based HIDE is not just an industrial band, but a multimedia, multisensory collaboration between visual artist Heather Gabel and percussionist Seth Sher. Rage and fear play a central role for the duo and in particular vocalist Gabel, whose decision to venture into the DIY music scene was sparked by a fear of the unknown - in contrast, HIDE’s gnashing rhythms and pulsating lyrics are meant to shock any and all oppressors. Toronto’s S.H.I.T. do real raw hardcore punk that sounds like heaven. A pure product of the Toronto underground of the last few years, S.H.I.T. is a steam roller of heavy riffs and saturated guitars that scream loud and clear.

Balanced between post-punk, techno and ambient influences, PULSUM (Connor McComb) makes dance music that's charged with emotion. For the Montreal-based musician, 2019 saw the release of "The Fear You Give To Me" - an EP that moves through feelings of anxiety, melancholy, sadness, & frustration - yet sprinkled with ethereal breaks and moments of euphoria.
